Purpose and eligibility requirements
As part
of our ongoing commitment to excellence in leadership, academic and sporting achievement, Capalaba State
College is pleased to offer scholarships to students. The scholarships are
available to responsible young people prepared to strive for their personal
best. Scholarship conditions
To apply
for a scholarship at Capalaba State College, students must meet the
clearly defined criteria as stated below:
- Commitment to the pursuit of
excellence to achieve their potential.
- Commitment to the leadership
role that is implicit for all scholarship holders. This includes being a
positive role model for younger students through a commitment to their
studies and sporting excellence.
- Support for all aspects of
the uniform policy reflected by wearing the school and team uniforms with
pride.
- Support for all aspects of
school life and a willingness to accept the broad range of opportunities
offered at Capalaba State College.
- Commitment to the five
expectations of the College: be positive, be respectful, be responsible,
be safe and be a learner.
Scholarship expectations
- Demonstrate achievement in
academics according to the student's potential to achieve.
- Demonstrate continued effort
and sustained commitment to improving academic performance.
- Be prepared to participate in
nominated school based activities and events as notified.
- Perform in the leadership
role that is implicit for all scholarship holders. This includes being a
positive role model for younger students, displaying leadership by
encouraging and supporting other students, and fostering group and school
spirit. This also requires the students and parents to demonstrate support
for the values of the College both at school and outside school.
- Be committed to the school
values and expectations.
Parents or carers of students accepting a scholarship
must be willing to:
- Provide support to school
activities by volunteering to assist in events and activities when
possible.
- Be committed to the school
values and expectations.
- Support the student to ensure
the above commitments are achieved.

been received, they will be assessed against the scholarship
conditions outlined above.
- Successful applicants will be
contacted by the school and further information will be provided.
Selection and Reviews:
Scholarship
applications are reviewed by a panel.
The Academic
Scholarships include:
Capalaba State
College will provide a Senior Campus student with the following under this two
year scholarship:
- Payment of Capalaba State
College Student Resource Scheme for 2022 and 2023.
- 1 set of formal uniform and 1
set of sport uniform in 2022.
The scholarship is
subject to annual review for the duration of 2022 and 2023 and dependent upon
the recipient:
- remaining actively enrolled
at Capalaba State College
- upholding the values and
expectation of Capalaba State College
- maintaining 95% attendance
rate
- maintaining grades at a high
standard
The Leadership
Scholarships include:
Capalaba State College will provide a Senior
Campus student with the following under this two year scholarship:
- Payment of Capalaba State
College Student Resource Scheme for 2022 in Year 7 and 2023 in Year 8.
- 1 set of formal uniform and 1
set of sport uniform in 2022
- 1 set of formal uniform and 1
set of sport uniform in 2023
The scholarship is
subject to annual review for the duration of 2022 and 2023 and dependent upon
the recipient:
- remaining actively enrolled
at Capalaba State College
- upholding the values and
expectation of Capalaba State College
- maintaining 95% attendance
rate
- maintaining grades at a high
standard
- attending College functions
when required
The Sporting
Scholarships include:
Capalaba State
College will provide a Senior Campus student with the following under this one
year scholarship:
- Payment of Capalaba State
College Student Resource Scheme for 2022.
- Payment of High Performance
Sporting Fees for 2022.
- 1 set of formal uniform in
2022.
The scholarship is
subject to annual review for the duration of 2022 and dependent upon the
recipient:
- remaining actively enrolled
at Capalaba State College
- upholding the values and
expectation of Capalaba State College
- maintaining 95% attendance
rate
- maintaining grades at a high
standard
