The Term 1 Learn to Swim program aims to increase confidence and swimming capability of our students in the pool. Students will be in small groups and participating in swimming activities with an instructor.
The Term 1 Swim for Survival program is for students to have consistent and thorough lessons to cover safety in and around water. They will learn to assess risks involving water, self-survival techniques when in water, and age-appropriate rescue skills whilst building stamina in a range of swimming strokes. These skills are an essential part of our society and have the ability to one day save a life in or around water. Students will participate in these lessons during their Physical Education time in weeks 2-5 and are encouraged to participate.
