Excursion Description:
We will be having Bugs Ed - Secrets to Success coming to the school. In this workshop, students will learn the secrets to their success by looking at their external features and how they use them to capture prey and exploit different food sources, elude predators and cope with life in harsh environments.
Insects are the most diverse and successful group of organisms on Earth. They have walked the planet for nearly 400 million years and during this time have colonised every possible habitat.

The activity leader has the competence (knowledge and skills) to plan, induct, instruct and manage the activity safely for students and others.
All adult supervisors comply with the Working with Children Authority - Blue Cards procedure and be able to identify, and respond to, risks or hazards that may emerge during the activity.
Students not to handle animals until explicitly instructed by the qualified adult supervisor
Follow hygiene guidelines when handling animals
