Year 10 SETP Interviews

​Term three is an important time for your young adults to be considering options following the completion of Year 10. 

We hope that all our students make the decision to remain at Capalaba State College next year but we know that for many, this poses many questions about the Senior School and most importantly about pathways to employment or further education.

Schools are obliged to have all Year 10 students develop a Senior Education and Training Plan (SET-P) in which they think about their future, consider their personal study habits and their intended career pathway, and explore their options. 

Year 10 students have already started to develop their knowledge of subjects on offer in the Senior School in 2021 by participating in an Information Night on Tuesday 17 August 2021 5pm-7pm on Microsoft Teams (discussing New QCE, Subject Selection, Pathways including VET, TAFE at School, School Based Traineeships and ATAR) and then participating in a Subject Rotation Day on Wed 18 August 2021 to explore the course content and assessment in Years 11-12 for specific subjects.

All year 10 students wishing to enrol at Capalaba State College in Year 11 2022 are required to:

Book a SET-P Interview (https://capalabasc.schoolzineplus.com/setp-interviews) (that students attend with a parent/carer and a member of the College Management Team). Interviews will be held in Week 9 (Mon 6 Sept - Friday 10 Sept 2021) and be used to discuss pathways, appropriate subject choices and expectations of Senior Schooling students at Capalaba State College. 

Final subject selections for Year 11 will also occur during SET-P Interviews.

• Complete the following SET-P Preparation tasks prior to the interview:
• Log in to OneSchool (http://oslp.eq.edu.au)
• Select “accept agreement” (new students only)
• Click ‘My Education Plan’ (white bar, top left of screen)
• Complete Intended Learning             Save
• Complete Survey                             Save
• Complete Personal                           Save
• Complete Careers & Courses            Save
• To select subjects in the smorgasboard (open until Fri 27 Aug) click on ‘Subject Selections” Tab.
  
• Click the hyperlinked word ‘here’ (blue and underlined)
• Select that you are in the correct year selection for the next year. Save
• Click the edit button (with the pen next to it)
• Choose ANY six subjects you wish to study in 2022 (you MUST select an English and a Mathematics subject)
• Scroll down and click save
